Get ready for laughter, music and feel-good fun as Annie the Musical bursts onto Theatre Severn’s main stage this week.

Perfect for families, this heartwarming production from local theatre company Get Your Wigle On is packed with unforgettable songs, a huge cast of talented performers and plenty of sparkle.
Follow brave young Annie as she sets out to find the family she’s always dreamed of, meeting unforgettable friends – and a few foes – along the way. With its inspiring message, show-stopping numbers and live orchestra, Annie is the perfect November outing for families who love great musical theatre.
The iconic role of the red-headed orphan will be shared by three talented local performers – Izzy Ellis, Lyla Rolfe and Delia Brooke, each appearing in two of the six performances. They are joined by three energetic teams of young performers, with 33 children in total taking part across the run. This rotation system ensures every show is bursting with fresh excitement and youthful energy.
Alongside the young stars, Get Your Wigle On’s adult musical theatre company help bring the bustling world of Annie to life. Mike Jenkinson-Deakin stars as the big-hearted billionaire Daddy Warbucks, with Adele Clarkson as the caring Grace Farrell. Sarah Scully brings her comedy brilliance to the role of Miss Hannigan, joined by Will Monek as Rooster and Georgie Cox as Lily.
What makes this production truly special is its community spirit. “The energy in rehearsals has been incredible,” says co-director James Broxton. “There’s something magical about watching performers of all ages come together with so much passion and joy. Audiences are sure to feel that from the opening number.”
Featuring all the classic songs audiences know and love – Hard Knock Life, I Think I’m Gonna Like It Here, Never Fully Dressed, Maybe, NYC and, of course, Tomorrow – this spectacular new production promises big voices, big laughs and even bigger heart.
