Nurses Tea Party

The event will be held at Burton Borough School in Newport from 6.30pm to celebrate a successful first year for the local fundraising organisation.

Guests are invited to pop in to the Audley Avenue school sports hall for an hour to be welcomed with tea and coffee, cakes and biscuits.

Organisers are also appealing for more people to join the Telford branch of Marie Curie which runs events to help fund Marie Curie nursing care for terminally ill patients in Shropshire. Marie Curie also gives support and respite to family carers.

The Telford branch have raised £13,000 over the past year with a series of events including the Great Daffodil Appeal.

“We want to celebrate our first year as a fundraising branch for Marie Curie and try and encourage more people to join at the same time as enjoying a cup of tea with everyone to raise even more money for such a worthwhile cause,” said community fundraiser, Victoria Hardy. If you would like more information about this event, or you would like to confirm your attendance please call 07720 949 007 or email Victoria.hardy@mariecurie.org.uk

The Blooming Great Tea Party is a national event held annually in June to raise much needed funds.
