The X Factor 2009 winner who subsequently went on the win the TV show Popstar to Operastar in 2011 was just 18 years old when he wowed X Factor judges with his audition singing Luther Vandross’ Dance with my Father.

Joe’s first single The Climb reached number 1 in both the UK and Irish Singles Charts and was soon followed by the release of his debut album Wide Awake in October 2010.

The performance at Oakengates Theatre @ The Place will form part of a 50 date tour in 2014 for Joe McElderry, the same year as he is expected to release his fifth album which he is currently writing and recording.
