
The Charlatans will be headlining some of the very best international artists alternative break through acts and local talent.
Shrewsbury Fields Forever will take place over two days, this fresh new camping festival will feature at least three arenas of music showcasing top big International artists combined with the best Up-coming acts and local talent providing a superb choice of live Indie, rock, alternative, electronic dance and popular music.
The festival will not only host live music but an array of performing arts, fun fair, audio/visual artistic entertainment and a charity fund raising entertainments village, in which nominated charities alongside sponsoring businesses will be providing some extra on-site entertainment and games to help fund raise for a worthy cause.
Over 80 artists will be performing over the two days, headlining the Saturday main stage slot are International legends ‘The Charlatans’. For more than two decades now, The Charlatans have been an inspirational force in British rock they remain as exciting and relevant now, as when they first broke through with The Only One I Know even more so now as a new generation of young bands and fans today hail them as lifelong heroes. With 11 studio collections under their belt all hitting the top levels of the UK album charts, selling thousands of albums and performing to thousands all over the world The Charlatans continue to innovate whilst maintaining the spirit, which made them famous.

Radio 1 and XFM playlist favorite Fenech Soler with hits such as “Stand and Stare” and “Demons and lies” have been announced for one of the Sunday support slots with the Sunday headline act still to be announced. After an autumn that has seen the sell out shows of their debut tour, a Q Award nomination and the release of their acclaimed debut album,
Sonny Wharton has been announced to be performing in one of the Dance arenas on the Sunday. Sonny secured UK house music elite status by winning a DJ Mag mixtape competition, going on to become a resident DJ at Ibizian superclub Manumission and then moving on to perform in front of over 1 million people at the Berlin Love Parade.

Acts announced so far for over the weekend include: The Charlatans, Fenech Soler, Sonny Wharton and Sparky Dog as well as local bands Talk and The Taste. There are 70 more artists to be announced over the coming weeks.
The event will be taking place at The West mid / Shropshire Show ground in the heart of Shrewsbury which already hosts nationally acclaimed events such as The Shrewsbury Folk Festival and the Shropshire County show.
Festival organiser Dene Edwards think the event will be great for local talent too: “This is Shropshire’s answer to all the other towns and cities big music and arts festivals but with a difference. We might be attracting some big names, but we are not forgetting those who are important to us, the wealth of local talent and the good causes the local community support. We strive to be the peoples festival, whilst offering a complete, safe and top spec experience for all those who attend”
