This year the event is being supported by local company Keim Mineral Paints based in Donnington Wood.

Now in its third year, Park Live has successfully established itself as a high profile event on the festival calendar. Last year’s event attracted almost 6,000 music lovers of all ages who enjoyed a great day out in Telford Town Park.

Fifty two bands applied to play at this year’s festival from a range of genres including rock, punk, ska, metal, blues and indie.

Telford & Wrekin Council Arts & Events Officer, Janice Williams, said: “Park Live is an exciting festival that showcases local talent to a wide audience. We received a really high standard of entries to play at this year’s festival and choosing the final line up hasn’t been easy. I think the final mix of bands however is really diverse and will be well received by festival goers.

“We would also like to thank Keim Mineral Paints for their support with the festival. It is invaluable to have a local company on board with a high profile event like Park Live”.

Ad Morris from the alternative electro band, Give Chase, said: “We are super excited to be playing Park Live. It’s been the busiest and biggest year for Give Chase yet and to play back in our home town, at the biggest music event, is ACE! All we can say is BOYS get ready to dance….and GIRLS get ready to MOSH! ”

Admission to the festival and all activities are completely free.
