Flamenco is Music, Sex and History all rolled into one, the fiercest expression of the human spirit ever devised. For 15 years Flamenco Express has simply obtained the best flamenco performers available, given them total artistic freedom, and put them on stage. The result has been an amazing range of artistic performance by artists all committed to delivering their own view of the world in the only way they know how, through flamenco. A stunning recipe for a perfect night out and we defy your feet to stay still!

Flamenco Express are at Wem Town Hall on Saturday 14th May and tickets can booked by telephoning 01939 238279 or online from www.artsalive.co.uk.

If you feel inspired to have a go yourself, there is also a fantastic opportunity to attend flamenco dance workshops led by Ana Garcia for just £4 a session. Ana is one of the most popular native Flamenco dancers in the UK and in this fun introductory course she will be concentrating on simpler, light-hearted forms of flamenco dance. The series of five sessions start on Tuesday 24th May, please book your place in advance on 01939 238279.

Dance Alive is aiming to get the people of Shropshire dancing and to keep them dancing. Performances and workshops have been happening throughout Shropshire; check out what is happening next from www.artsalive.co.uk.

Funding of over £70,000 has meant that prices for activities have been kept to a minimum, making sure that they are accessible to all. Dance Alive is an Arts Alive project and is part of the Dancing for the Games programme, inspired by London 2012, part of the Cultural Olympiad in the West Midlands funded by Legacy Trust UK, Arts Council West Midlands and Advantage West Midlands.
