The all new Mansion at V Festival 2010
The Mansion was brand new to the V Festival 2010 and was a hangout area that everyone was invited to, with 3 rooms of fun.
The Music Room was the place to grab a drink and check out the live DJs, plus a few celebrity guests taking a turn on the decks. There was a dance floor, plus plenty of room to kick back and enjoy the atmosphere.
It was like a mini nightclub when we went in, the DJ was playing some great tunes and people dancing and enjoying themselves and the illuminated dance floor was pretty impressive. After a little bit of a boogie we decided we should sample the drinks at the bar of course.
The Media Room was were we wondered into next and it was buzzing with people.
Here you could check up on the outside world with the laptop bar, where you could tweet and poke to your heart’s content with Virgin Media’s super speedy broadband, or soak up The Mansion’s free Wi-Fi on your mobile.
You could also take some time out to settle down in front of the telly. There was 3D TV to try and gaming, as well as music videos and TV shows on demand, all free.
I wondered why everyone was standing and chatting by the one wall of The Mansion and on closer inspection found this was the place to re-charge your mobile phone battery perfect as I only had one bar left!
There was also a demonstration of the new Nokia phone on a large screen TV too which had everyone engrossed. The Nokia Feel Good Wall was also the place to be seen and you can find out more about that in the audio below.
Just outside was the perfect beer garden where you could sit and chat but still be in earshot of the great tunes being played by the DJ inside but also the place where I could relax and enjoy the rest of that drink!
