Get Ready for The Insults

Shrewsbury Band The Insults

Something is stirring in the Shires, sleepy streets awash with the buzz of a new daring, energetic Indie Art Punk Cool, adrenaline crashing through the veins of the coolest kids in town as they congregate in droves, almost zombie like in worship of Shrewsbury band The Insults.

These are the new breed of Indie scenesters intent on crashing head first into anarchic indiscretions, a mass of primeval soup forming chemical bonds with their masters, Comrades, this is the Year of ‘The Insults’ and the UK better hold tight because they are taking us all for one hell of a ride!

The Insults have managed to write a train full of songs that most bands can’t manage in a lifetime. The catchy relevance of front man Tom Stewart’s lyrics, coupled with the rawness and energy of a band out to enjoy every minute of each performance, has a lasting resonance. These guys have it all, the passion, the chemistry, the need to get where they want to go and fast – this is the kind of urgency that you just can’t fake.

Social commentary and political overtones cascade within the war like frenzy of The Insults live performances, and it is immediately clear this is no paint by numbers indie band. They dictate their own terms, so refreshingly un-manicured and innocent that you just cant help but fall in love with and become immensely impressed by them. They want the world to listen and nothing will get in their way.

A Summer signing to indie label Terminal Records, The Insults continue a spectacular rise in fortunes, having only formed in December 2008. In that time they have written songs that are capturing the attention of the right people in the industry and punters alike.

Early October saw ‘The Insults’ visit the world famous Monnow Valley Studios, Rockfield, Monmouth, Wales, to record their debut single “Art of Deception” with highly respected Producer/ Engineer Tom Manning. Tom has previously co-produced/ engineered with some of the UK’s biggest producers and bands including Mike Crossey (Arctic Monkeys / Razorlight) and recently collaborated on the latest album from The Enemy.
