The collaboration has seen WasteBot develop a bespoke, fully automated booking process for CWC, effectively eliminating a massive manual data-entry burden. The impact on the bottom line has been immediate, with the automation delivering savings equivalent to three full-time staff members—a valuation of approximately £90,000. Beyond the figures, the shift has liberated existing employees from repetitive admin, allowing them to pivot toward more meaningful, strategic roles.

Scaling Through Innovation

Cornwall Waste Care specialises in waste and recycling collections for holiday homes. While originally rooted in Cornwall, the firm has recently expanded its footprint to cover the entirety of Devon. This growth is reflected in their rapid trajectory: CWC increased its collection volume from 40,000 in 2024 to a projected 48,500 in 2025.

Charles Scully, Managing Director of Cornwall Waste Care, credits much of this seamless scaling to the integration of automated systems.

“Without a shadow of a doubt, Richard and the team at WasteBot have allowed CWC to reduce its costs, increase its efficiencies, and increase the bottom line,” says Scully. “From a standing start, WasteBot now carries out over 95% of our booking scheduling, allowing the team to be proactive in acquiring new clients and developing the business into commercial waste collections.”

Scully, a veteran with a 35-year business career, added: “Setting up the contract with WasteBot has been one of the best decisions I have ever made.”

The Power of “Software Robots”

WasteBot leverages advanced software robots designed to replicate human interactions within digital systems. By automating these processes with high precision, the technology eliminates human error and ensures 24/7 operational consistency.

Richard Delooze, Founder and Managing Director of WasteBot, expressed his pride in the partnership’s results:

“We’re delighted with the results achieved through our collaborative work with the forward-thinking team at Cornwall Waste Care. At WasteBot, our mission is to free up administrative teams, enabling them to focus on higher-value services. By sharing the success of this partnership, we hope to raise wider awareness of the potential that Automation and AI solutions offer in delivering substantial back-office cost savings for the waste industry.”

Industry Expertise Meets Automation

With a combined 37 years of experience across waste management and software automation, WasteBot has developed a comprehensive library of repetitive industry processes. This expertise allows them to deploy solutions that not only improve the customer experience but also boost employee satisfaction by removing “drudge work.”

As Cornwall Waste Care continues its expansion across the South West, the partnership stands as a blueprint for how traditional utility sectors can embrace the digital revolution to drive regional economic growth.
