Condover College Ltd was named West Midlands Regional Winner for the Social Care Covid Hero Team Award and individually Katy Russell won the Dignity in Care Award. Kathryn Harris was highly commended in the Care Home Worker Award.

As Condover have finalists in the Covid Hero Team category at the Great British Care Awards, Care Talk invited two representatives of the team to a prestigious afternoon tea, hosted by Lord Palmer of Childs Hill OBE, in November at the House of Lords. This was such an honour to attend and meet other inspirational frontline care and support workers who have gone above and beyond during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Jo Mear Director of Care said: “The Social Covid Team Award is a credit to all our staff team who worked above and beyond through the Pandemic to keep everyone safe. This award demonstrates what an outstanding team we have so a massive congratulations to our team at CCL. I also want to thank the families for all their continued support during that difficult time and beyond.”

The Great British Care Awards National Finals will be held on 17th March 2023, ICC, Birmingham.

Jo added: “We are so proud of everyone who got nominated and we wish the best of luck to the Condover Covid Team and Katy Russell for the national finals.”
