Harwood Shropshire Limited of Broseley has appointed their first apprentice estate agent.

Following completion of her studies at Shrewsbury Sixth Form College, Charlotte De La Motte,18, is now looking forward to a career in estate agency with Harwood.

She has spent work experience with the Broseley-based estate agency whilst studying at college from where she gained A levels in media studies, business studies and English Language.

“I enjoyed my work experience so much that I hoped Harwood would consider me for an apprenticeship when I finished my studies at college,” said Charlotte of Lightmoor.

“I loved everything about the business when I came on work experience and now I am spending two days in rentals and three days in sales. It is all part of learning about the business during my year’s apprenticeship which I hope will result in a permanent position.”

Said Patrick Smitheman, Managing Director: “We are very pleased to welcome Charlotte into the Harwood family in Broseley. After having spent such a wonderful work experience with us I felt it was only a question of time before we welcomed her into the team.

“I think the apprenticeship scheme is great because it has allowed us the chance to offer a great opportunity to Charlotte to cut her teeth in this exciting and fast moving industry.”
