As Shropshire continues to enjoy the blue sky and sunshine after a weekend of gorgeous weather and the hottest day of the year so far, guests to a county hotel will be experiencing quite the opposite as they enter a Winter Wonderland this month.
On June 25 The Wroxeter Hotel, near Shrewsbury, will be dressed in its best with all function rooms open for informal viewings.
And the Eyton Suite will be decked out in the Winter Extravaganza theme, complete with frosted LED trees, sparkling tables and even a sparkling LED aisle to walk down.
For those wanting a guaranteed snow scene, a professional snow machine is also available to hire for the perfect photographs.
Darryl-Ann Brooks, of The Wroxeter, said: “It always seems odd dressing a room for Winter with the sun shining outside – and this week really seems to be the start of what we hope will be a glorious summer!
“But brides and grooms are often looking for their venue and style of wedding many months in advance so we have to try and create it for them.
“Our Wroxeter suite will be set out in the Vintage theme and the Sensational Spring and Fabulous Fall themes will also be available to view, so it won’t all be about the Winter weather.
“Although we are all very excited about the option of the professional snow machine – it will be a ‘snow throw’ rather than a confetti throw!”
And for those who want to see how their Summer wedding will look, staff at the hotel are hoping the weather will continue until July 26 when they will host their main Summer Showcase.
The hotel’s Summer Spectacular package complete with the outdoor ceremony set up, on trend lighting, vintage ice-cream cart and more will be unveiled.
Mrs Brooks added: “Every year we say we are looking forward to the summer but we also equally looking forward to the winter with our winter themed package.
“And of course every couple who books a summer wedding wants the blue sky and the sun to shine and everybody who books a winter wedding hopes for a layer of the
white stuff for those perfect photos.
“We can’t always guarantee the weather but we can guarantee a perfect day with the perfect theme of your choice.”
