The official launch of the new building at Iscoyd Park, near Whitchurch, will take place next weekend, on January 24 and 25, 12pm-5pm.

Acclaimed bridal designer Charlotte Balbier’s Iscoyd Park collection will also be on display in the garden room which will follow a winter wonderland theme.

Phil Godsal, who co-owns and runs Iscoyd Park with his wife Susie, said that couples are welcome to visit and take part in the festivities which will follow the format of a wedding.

“We have held several open days already but this one is a little bit more special,” said Mr Godsal.

“The new garden room, which is glass sided and leads off the main building into the garden, has been an enormous investment but worth every penny.

“It really is stunning and we are enormously excited at what it will add to Iscoyd as a wedding venue.

“Charlotte Balbier, who is one of the country’s leading bridal dress designer, got married at Iscoyd last winter and named a collection after the venue.

“We believe the garden room will be the perfect environment in which to showcase the collection.”

Mr Godsal added that the aim of the open weekend is to give couples undecided on where to get married a flavour of what they might expect if they choose Iscoyd Park as their venue.

Guests will be given a glass of bubbly on arrival, canapés, the opportunity to explore the house and gardens, and to meet the staff.

He added that because of a restriction on numbers, it is crucial that anyone who wishes to visit the open afternoon arranges a time slot beforehand.

“There are still some spaces available next weekend but, because we want all those who come on the day as personal, informative and fun experience as possible, there is a limit on numbers so we advise booking a time slot without delay,” said Mr Godsal.
