He hopes to run another business with Dan, who has previously been head chef at many local restaurants, including Theatre Severn, Shrewsbury.
“The business is doing very well because it has an excellent reputation in the town,” said Harry. “Most people know about The Pantry Kitchen because it’s been running for over 40 years and, together with the Mexican restaurant, we’re busy seven days a week.”
The restaurant seats around 40 people with a ground floor dining area overlooking Princess Street and a stylish kitchen/servery with an open plan cooking and dining layout fronting Golden Cross Passage.
There is basement cellarage space and three, self-contained flats on the upper floors, which are sub-let and enjoy views over old St Chad’s Churchyard. Two of the flats have one bedroom and the other has two bedrooms.
