HD Eyes has opened as part of the retail hub of the Ironstone development in Lawley.

Kally Dhillon has opened her own practice at the Lawley centre on Birchfield Way which already boasts Morrisons, Greggs, Subway, a fish and chip shop and Barnardos.

Kally said the development was hugely different to when they first signed for the premises and they had people knocking on the door wanting to book appointments or buy glasses before they were even open for business.

The retail hub will also boast a hair and beauty salon next door, a funeral directors, Lawley and Overdale Parish Council offices and a solicitor’s firm.

Kally, who named her opticians HD Eyes after her 14-month-old son Hari Dhillon, said the development was already a very busy and exciting place to be, despite the fact there was still much building work including business and residential premises to be finished.

“My husband and I were overwhelmed by the positive reaction of the local community. We are really looking forward to providing amazing eyecare for the local families.

“The residents and others using the supermarket have said they thought an optician fitted in perfectly with the GP and dental practices across the road,” she said.

Kally, who lives in Wolverhampton with her husband Amardeep who is also an optician, said they spotted the development whilst doing some locum work in the area and instantly felt it was the right place for their first premises. And they are both passionate about supplying unique and quirky brands along with the latest designer brands.

“If the first few days since opening and the weeks prior to opening are an indication of things to come then we hope HD Eyes and all of the other businesses in the development will be very successful.

“We’d like to thank everyone for their support and look forward to welcoming families from across the area in for help and advice – it is important people realise we are not just here to do eye examinations – we are here to give advice and guidance which is as important as the advice a doctor, dentist or pharmacist gives.

“We have a very much open door policy where everyone will be greeted by a friendly face offering a professional and friendly service.”
