Iscoyd Park, near Whitchurch, has a pre-school in its grounds which will be offering crèche facilities with a magical twist to its wedding guests and their young families.
The youngsters will be able to enjoy afternoon tea at a special Mad Hatter’s tea party at The Park Pre-School while their parents are a short stroll away in the award-winning wedding venue.
“Children can often become a bit fidgety and fed up at weddings which can make for a stressful time for their parents, so we thought it would be a sensible idea to address that,” said Iscoyd Park owner Phil Godsal.
“We are constantly trying to improve the services we offer within our wedding packages so I am absolutely delighted to join forces with the experienced staff at the pre-school to provide this childcare opportunity.
“I believe it is the only such service of its kind in the region and the pre-school is quite literally a 20-second walk from the Iscoyd Park wedding venue which means that parents can easily check up on their little ones during the day.”
Head teacher at The Park Pre-School, Nicola Fiddy, said: “I am really pleased to offer this crèche facility for the wedding guests at Iscoyd Park.
“It is ideal for brides and grooms who have a non-child policy for their big day or for those parents who would like their child to be entertained during some of the more formal parts of the marriage such as the service and the meal.
“Our Mad Hatter’s tea party includes a wide range of locally sourced foods to cater for all tastes and this fun meal adds to the party atmosphere in the crèche.
“We are also able to provide other entertainments, such as a magician, to add to the wedding package in the crèche, which is manned during the afternoon by experienced childcare staff.”
Award-winning Iscoyd Park last year scooped a national award by being named top wedding venue in the UK and has followed that success with two awards for the accommodation it offers bridal parties.
