The Start Up Boot Camp, part of the Young Britain initiative co-funded by The TTC Group, Telford & Wrekin Council and the European Regional Development Fund, is inviting young people from across Shropshire to attend the workshop at the Telford Enterprise Hub in Hadley Park, on Tuesday 12th February from 9.30am to 12 pm. The event will offer budding young entrepreneurs everything they need to launch their own business, and the support they need to make it a success.

The free to attend event is open to all 18-30 year olds in the county who are interested in turning their skills, talents, or passion into a viable business. The young entrepreneurs will be provided with advice and guidance, a years’ free membership to the Telford Enterprise Hub, a registered business address for their venture, and the tools and insight which will provide an invaluable resource in their first year of trading and beyond.

Fay Easton, Shropshire’s Start Up Britain Local Champion and Co-Founder of Young Britain, explained: “The Start Up Boot Camp is a fantastic way for Shropshire’s young business brains to kick-start their own venture and ultimately ‘make their own job’. The workshop will provide the much-needed opportunity to learn about how we can guide and support them, and how they can access the vital funds to launch a business, including the low interest StartUp Loans that are currently on offer.”

The workshop will provide youngsters with a 20 step hand-out on how to make their venture a true success including developing a business plan, sole trader registration and identifying target customers. There will also be the opportunity for individuals to attend a dedicated training session on the day from 1pm to 2pm, to help progress their invoicing and book keeping skills using up to the minute cloud computing.

“The event is open to all budding young entrepreneurs and all we ask is that they bring with them energy, passion, and determination, the key ingredients for a successful business. The event is completely free to attend but spaces are strictly limited, so if you are interested in attending the event, or know someone that would be interested, please visit www.startbootcamp.eventbrite.co.uk to book a place or get in touch with the Young Britain team on 01952 677230 for further information,” Fay concluded.
