Heritage Glass, based at Monkmoor, in Shrewsbury, has been awarded the job of replacing over 700 windows at several military barracks throughout the county and is now looking to create four new jobs to handle the workload.

The contract is part of the Government’s on-going programme to refurbish and upgrade living accommodation for its service personnel at military establishments.

Heritage Glass managing director David Randall said: “We are delighted to have been awarded these contracts and now have four months in which to carry out the work which will include installing around 700 highly efficient UPVC windows for energy saving and conservation, at several county locations.

“This contract will run alongside our smaller regular domestic work, helping to safeguard jobs and create trading stability for Heritage Glass in these difficult economic times.”
