The roundabout in Minsterley, near Shrewsbury, is being sponsored by Duncan Page and his team at Minsterley Garage Services on the Malehurst Industrial Estate.
Duncan Page, of Minsterley Garage Services, said: “All of our customers drive to see us from Minsterley and surrounding villages and we thought it would be a good idea to give something back and make sure that the roundabout looked good all year round.
“As we get closer to Winter we get more and more people coming in to see us for checks and MOTs and therefore more and more vehicles pass the roundabout – it is important it is cared for.”
Geoff Rogers, chair of Minsterley Parish Council, said it is important for local businesses to support the community.
He said: “We are delighted that Minsterley Garage Services are sponsoring the roundabout as we think it is important that local businesses do help the local community.
“We hope that people in turn support Minsterley Garage Services as a local business.”
The roundabout is in the middle of Minsterley near the Crown and Sceptre pub and Mr Page is hoping to give it a bit of motoring influence in the future.
“We are chatting to the gardener about how we could put our stamp on it – or our tread as the case may be,” he added.
“When the weather improves it would be great to add some tyre flower beds and make it an unusual sight for all who pass through the village.”
