ABC Day Nursery in Lightmoor opened last month initially for children living in Lightmoor Village but now the places have been taken they plan to welcome in families from across the borough.
Penny Hustwick, director of ABC Day Nursery which has nurseries in Wrockwardine, Hollinswood and Hadley, said it was important the families within the village had first choice of places.
She said: “The brand new building we have here is fantastic and the response from the residents of Lightmoor Village has been wonderful.
“We now want to offer this facility to other children in Telford as I know people often struggle to get their children in to a nursery with the right facilities, convenient hours and a friendly home from home environment and we believe we offer that here at Lightmoor.”
The nursery based at Lightmoor Village has created eight new jobs and will create more job opportunities now they are offering more places.
The nursery will also become company head office as administration staff are currently moving from the Wrockwardine nursery which was set up 20 years ago.
“Our other three nurseries are all Outstanding with Ofsted so we are looking forward to ABC Lightmoor following their lead,” Mrs Hustwick added.
ABC Lightmoor offer places for children from three months to five years and also breakfast clubs, after school clubs for youngsters from Lightmoor Village Primary School and also holiday clubs for children from any school in Telford.
