Keith Baggaley, Care Supervisor at Morris Care’s Stretton Hall Nursing Home, All Stretton, walked away with the esteemed title of ‘Learner of the Year’ for his dedication to learning more about his profession and his drive for acquiring further qualifications in health and social care.

Margaret Maudsley, Chief Executive of Morris Care, said: “We are all delighted for Keith and his win at such a prestigious awards ceremony. Keith has a natural aptitude for caring for others and I would like to congratulate him for all the hard work he puts into learning and his commitment to the residents at Stretton Hall. The award is truly deserved.”

Tim Morris, Director of Morris Care, said: “The Morris Care ethos is a commitment to providing the very best quality care and treating all residents with respect. Supporting staff with their continued development is vital in ensuring these high standards are consistently met and exceeded. Keith embodies the dedication expected of staff at Morris Care and his award reflects this.”

The awards are run by Shropshire Partners in Care, a non-profit organisation supporting the development of a sustainable and high quality social care sector in the areas of Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin.

This year’s glamorous Hollywood-themed ceremony was held at the International Centre, Telford and was hosted by Vicki Archer from BBC Radio Shropshire, with celebrity guests Matt Littler and Darren Jefferies, best known for their roles in Hollyoaks.
