The Law Society campaign, which was launched on October 1st and runs for six weeks, was launched to emphasise the advantages of seeking legal advice from proper qualified professionals rather than ‘off the shelf’ agencies.
GHP Legal has been running free legal diagnostic clinics at its Wrexham and Oswestry offices since September last year, with local residents being able to drop in without an appointment.
The firm, which holds the Law Society Lexcel Quality Mark Accreditation, currently runs the clinics every Monday from 12-3pm at its Grosvenor Road, Wrexham, offices and every Wednesday from 12-3pm at its offices in Willow Street, Oswestry.
Nicola Thomas, Group Practice Manager at GHP Legal, said: “We have had a steady flow of people through the door since we first launched the clinics, but in recent times there has been an increase in the number of Personal Injury enquiries. We think this is because people are fed up with unsolicited calls, from what could be anywhere in the country, telling them to apply for compensation. And they feel much more comfortable with the idea of being able to walk in off the street and speak to a local solicitor in person.â€
