ETD Training will be joining Aston Villa, Birmingham International Airport and a host of Midlands companies at the Business and Schools Partnership event at the Small Heath School in Birmingham.
Head of business development at ETD, Bruce Gutteridge, said: “We’re delighted to have been invited to join staff, students and other business leaders at this event. As we offer innovative online, accredited health and safety training courses, it has been a while since we’ve been in a classroom environment!
“But we’re looking forward to attending the event on Wednesday at Small Heath School, which has received recognition from Ofsted for its wide range of links with business and industry. The school has been praised for helping students develop work-related skills which they can apply in real-life situations.
“We know that best practice health and safety is achieved by getting it right from the beginning, before bad habits develop. We’re looking forward to talking to students about the importance of health and safety in a business environment and how it will also benefit their future employers.â€
The event will hear from Kate Canty, Chair of the Birmingham Employment & Skills Board, on the importance of partnership working to the skills of young people. Richard Butler, regional director of the CBI, will also launch a Skills Award Scheme as part of the breakfast session.
ETD Training, based in Clun, south Shropshire, offers interactive courses to both private-sector businesses and public sector organisations, offering the UK’s most comprehensive range of online health and safety training topics.
