Trinity Money Advice Centre (TMAC) in Meole Brace received a £1,000 grant from the West Brom through the Mercian Trust. It will help increase the number of professional advisers from 12 to 16 and allow the centre to offer long term, free and impartial support on a range of money matters to up to 40 clients every year.

The centre operates from the Trinity Centre in Meole Brace next to Holy Trinity Church. It was established in January 2010 by Trinity Churches.
Simon Mason, a Church Army Officer who was involved in founding TMAC, said: “We are extremely grateful to the West Brom for supporting our initiative. The current economic downturn has only made worse the problem of individual debt and financial difficulty and we are responding to the clear need for advice and guidance in our area.
“The service has been very well received by local people and their families. One client told us that ‘a great weight had been lifted off her shoulders’ after visiting one of our debt advisers.â€
Stephen Leonard, Divisional Director for the West Brom, added: “There are many people at the moment who find themselves experiencing real financial difficulty, with all the anxiety and hardship this brings. Schemes such as Trinity Money Advice Centre can be an absolute lifeline for them, which is why the West Brom is pleased to offer its support.â€
The donation was handed over at the West Brom’s Shrewsbury branch on High Street by manager Jayne Tomkinson.
