Linder Myers LLP has exchanged contracts for the acquisition of Talbot House, a 15,000sq ft office block on three floors next to the Old Music Hall and above the town’s Loch Fyne restaurant.

Bill Jarvis, managing partner for the Shropshire region, said: “We are pleased to announce that the firm has exchanged contracts for the acquisition of prestigious and enhanced office accommodation in the town centre.

“Having worked for some time on a project to provide us with additional and improved accommodation in central Shrewsbury, the firm has now completed an agreement to lease the majority of space in Talbot House.

“Linder Myers continues to show significant growth in Shropshire and our investment in these new premises in the heart of the town is an indication of our commitment to providing first class legal advice to our county clients.

“We were delighted to complete this deal with Jeremy Stevens, of Warrant Investments, and with the help of Toby Shaw, of Towler Shaw Roberts, and we are confident that our staff and clients will benefit from these new offices.”

Mr Shaw said: “We are delighted to have been involved in such an important and high profile letting of one of Shrewsbury’s most well known buildings.

“We are pleased to have secured Linder Myers in these modern offices, reflecting their progressive image and commitment to the Town Centre.”

Linder Myers was founded in 1922 and in 1988 was a three-partner firm in Manchester. The company now employs close to 100 solicitors and more than 30 partners and has a growing ‘Shire’ presence with offices in Shropshire and Lancashire.

The new office block is currently being refurbished by the landlord to a high standard and will provide Linder Myers with superior accommodation and significant room for growth.

The redevelopment in Shropshire is the completion of the firm’s third expansion project in 2011 following the £8.175 million acquisition of 48,000 sq ft of office space in Manchester and a doubling of the office space in Lytham St Annes.

The ambitious firm has also recently added a Regulatory and Compliance Dept, headed by Stuart Sutton, to its range of commercial, private client and bodily injury services.
