Charlotte entered a free prize draw to win the ipad at this year’s Telford Real Apprentice Showcase, organised by Telford & Wrekin Council.
The council received 229 entries from young people who attended the event and Charlotte’s name was drawn out of the hat when the draw was held.
After finding out that she had won, Charlotte said: “I’m thrilled to have won the ipad, I have wanted one for a long time.
“I attended the Showcase to find out more about apprenticeships and employment opportunities. I found it really interesting and useful as I’m in the middle of making choices that will affect my future. Winning the ipad is a huge bonus.â€

The Telford Real Apprentice Showcase, organised by Telford & Wrekin Council and its partners, brought together over 20 exhibitors.
These included various training and learning providers, including; Connexions, Next Steps, the Navy, RAF and local colleges, who gave advice to young people who came from across the borough to attend the event.
Cllr Paul Watling, Cabinet Member for Children, Young People and Families, said: “It’s pleasing to see that so many young people came along to the Real Apprentice Showcase and that they found the event inspiring.
“The showcase brought together such a wide range of organisations in one place that people could go along and get a wealth of information about the world of work in just a couple of hours.â€
Over 240 people between the ages of 15 and 18 attended the event at Oakengates Theatre @ The Place. With the attendance of parents, carers and siblings the total number of people visiting was over 700.
The Real Apprentice Showcase was an opportunity for the exhibitors to place themselves at the forefront of the minds of the borough’s young people and provide potential alternatives to those who may wish to enter the world of work.
After receiving excellent feedback from both the visitors and exhibitors, it is hoped that a similar event can be held in 2012.
