Wills Wednesday has been launched by Linder Myers, based in Shrewsbury, and will see the solicitors offering two basic Wills for the price of one every Wednesday.

The offer has been created by Richard Ashton, a partner in the Trusts and Estates department.

He said: “Linder Myers know times are tough economically, but Wills are really important to families so we are doing our bit by offering two for one on a Wednesday.

“A Will is a legal document by which a person provides details of who will manage and receive their estate upon the event of their death. Any individual can make a Will provided they have the necessary capacity and a Will must comply with certain requirements to be valid.

“A Will gives you control over your affairs following your death as it enables you to choose what will happen. If you do not have a Will the law provides for a set of fixed rules, which govern how a person’s estate will be distributed in the event that they die without a valid Will in place.

“We hope Wills Wednesday will make it easier for people who need a will but may not be making one at the moment because they feel they cannot afford it.”
