The Bridgnorth and Shrewsbury offices of Mortimers Solicitors have been granted the Lexcel standard which has been achieved by only a few practices in the area.

The firm’s Hereford office is also Lexcel accredited.

Co-founder and senior partner of Mortimers, Christopher Waters, said he was delighted that his team had been recognised for their high standards and the care they give to clients.

“To gain Lexcel accreditation a practice must undergo several rigorous inspections and assessment processes,” said Mr Waters.

“This includes carrying out interviews with members of staff and a detailed on-site visit from an experienced Lexcel assessor.

“We are particularly pleased as it is a much sought after standard within the legal profession.

“This is a re-accreditation – it is one thing to be awarded the mark in the first place, another to keep it, and it certainly ensures that our standards are maintained.”

Lexcel is developed specifically for law firms and is an optional, recognised accreditation scheme which gives assurance that a practice meets high client care and business management standards.

Mr Waters added: “While we are proud to have secured the Lexcel award, it is our clients and staff who are the main beneficiaries as they can be assured that the way we manage the practice has their interests at heart.”
