Crews were called to the fire in Weston Rhyn at just before 7pm.

Five fire appliances including the Incident Command Unit, the Light Pumping Unit, the Water Carrier and the Welfare Unit were mobilised from Baschurch, Ellesmere, Oswestry, Prees, Shrewsbury and Telford Central.

Crews used a covering jet and main jet to put out the fire which destroyed the 30m x 50m barn and also a van and car.

West Mercia Police officers also attended the scene.
