Advising Shropshire based clients since 1983 when she moved to the region as a one year qualified solicitor, Anna was previously managing partner of Turnbull Garrard which merged with Linder Myers in 2012.
Predominantly acting on behalf of clients in the local agricultural sector, farmer’s daughter Anna James said: “I have enjoyed a long and satisfying career and have made many friends amongst my clients, peers and local contacts, many of whom I have advised and worked with for a number of years. The industry, and client expectations, have certainly changed dramatically during my career with improved technology adding significant pace to the speed in which matters progress.
“Now is the right time to focus more on family and enjoying hobbies such as golf where I aim to reduce my handicap but I’ll look back regarding some exciting and challenging times, one of the highlights was completing on a transaction worth £43 million.”
Richard Ashton, regional partner at Linder Myers in Shropshire commented: “Anna has been a real asset to the business with an enviable client following and in-depth level of expertise and we wish her all the best for the future. We have recently appointed Mary Davies to the commercial property team to take forward Anna’s case load. Having previous experience of both the private and public sectors, I’m confident that local clients will be in safe hands following Anna’s retirement from the practice.”
