Origins restaurant at Shrewsbury College, London Road, will be opening weekdays over the summer offering traditional afternoon tea, including, light sandwiches, a selection of freshly baked cakes and unlimited coffee and tea, at a summer special price of £5 per person.

Restaurant Manager, Ted Coxon, said: “The restaurant has seen some changes since its official opening in January, but we want to reassure the general public and our loyal customers that with the recent departure of HEART of ENGLAND fine foods (HEff) from our premises, we are now able to cater to the community during College holidays.
“We will be offering this special deal until September and we hope that with the promise of a beautiful summer, the addition of our outside eating area, and great location with plenty of free parking, that we can cater for all. Along with afternoon tea, a fully licensed bar, including Prosecco will be available.”

In addition to running as a restaurant, Origins can be booked out for a variety of special occasions.

Mr Coxon added: “Origins is a flexible, modern space, which can cater for a variety of different events, including birthday parties, weddings, gala dinners, conferences, business breakfasts and much more. Our two associated industry-standard Skills Kitchens and classrooms are available to hire by any companies looking for a venue to train staff in food production or hygiene, catering or cooking.
