Becki is not only beautiful, she is also a scarily accomplished singer, songwriter and saxophonist of whom Sir Michael Parkinson himself said “Great lass, great talent”.
Becki has had no less than three No. 1 albums in the US charts in collaboration with Paul Hardcastle (19, The Wizard) on his Hardcastle and Jazzmasters series; her Grammy nomination was with Paul for his ‘Hardcastle V’ album, for which the pair also won American Billboard’s ‘Best Smooth Jazz Artist’ award.
Amongst her many successful gigs at a vast variety of venues, Becki has performed for Prince Harry, a couple of knights of the realm and at many UK festivals. Voted Best Newcomer at the Marlborough International Jazz Festival she regularly wows consistently sell-out audiences at the legendary Pizza Express Jazz Club in Soho.
Becki is currently working hard recording her new album and will be treating the audience to a couple of her self-penned tunes on the night. She is taking the brave step of creating her album without a record company; instead, she is taking the initiative with a Pledge Music campaign using a ‘direct-to-fan’ approach.
Shrewsbury is Becki’s hometown and she used to work in the evening’s venue, the Maidment building, setting up and running the recording studio as a gap year student. You may recognize the family name, as Becki is the daughter of ex-Shrewsbury Town footballer, Steve Biggins.
Come and hear this local lass performing some superb music; we guarantee you will have a thoroughly enjoyable evening in the company of the very special talent that is Becki Biggins.
