Yesterday the River Severn in Bridgnorth burst its banks flooding Severn Park as river levels continue to rise.

Near Craven Arms a woman was rescued by firefighters after she drove into a flooded ford at Strefford. The woman became trapped in her vehicle before being released by fire service first responders. She was treated by ambulance at the scene. Fire control staff stayed in contact with the driver until the crews were able to make contact with her.

– Frankwell Main, Frankwell Riverside and Saint Julian’s Friars car parks are closed in Shrewsbury
– Severnside South car park is closed in Bridgnorth
