John Randall Primary School awarded “good” Ofsted report

Ofsted, the schools standards watchdog, inspected in November and found the school to be good in all areas.

Inspectors noted that teachers’ have a good knowledge of pupils’ skills and learning needs and provide skilled extra support to help all groups of pupils to make good progress.

The report highlighted that pupils are polite and courteous to each other and adults, that they say they feel safe in school and that their good attitudes and behaviour contribute well to their progress

Head teacher Helen Middleton said: “I am delighted with the outcome of our inspection.

“Everyone at John Randall expects the best of themselves and this wonderful attitude has been recognised by Ofsted.

“The team were particularly impressed by the fantastic family atmosphere, wonderful teamwork and brilliant behaviour.

“I’d like to thank everyone for all their hard work.”

Councillor Paul Watling, cabinet member for Children, Young People and Families, said: “This is a really positive achievement for John Randall Primary School.

“I would like to congratulate everyone involved at the school and look forward to celebrating further success in the future.”
