Success for Shropshire Motor Show in Shrewsbury

Cars from all the major manufactures including Jaguar, Ferrari, Aston Martin, Mercedes, BMW and MINI were on display in various locations around the streets of Shrewsbury town centre.

The event also helped raise money for charity, drink company Gatorade hosted a ‘Power Pull’ event in The Square.

Contestants paid £1.00 to take part in a timed effort to pull the Gatorade car, with a host of prizes for the person with the fastest time, and money raised split between Hope House and Severn Hospice.

Event organiser Craig Petty, dealer principal of Hatfields Jaguar took part in the “Power Pull” with a time of 25 seconds.

Shrewsbury Mayor, Cllr Jon Tandy, said: “It was a great day for Shrewsbury, I heard so many fantastic comments and the town had a real buzz about it.

“My thanks go to all those involved in putting another great event onto the calendar for Shrewsbury.”
