The event hosted by Telford & Wrekin Council coincides with National Story Telling Week and will take place at the visitor centre between 12.30-5pm.
Those who attend are invited to bring along their photos, films, documents and most importantly their tales.
Refreshments will be provided and Paul Belford from Nexus Heritage will be talking about historical discoveries that he has made on local archaeological digs in and around Telford Town Park.
Telford & Wrekin Council’s library service will also be harking back to old archive files, unveiling some historical facts and information about the park.
Councilor Arnold England, cabinet member for Leisure and Wellbeing, said: “There is an awful lot to look forward to for the future of Telford Town Park but it’s very important that we don’t forget our historical routes; how Telford was formed and what history we do have in the borough.
“Although a new town, Telford and Wrekin is rich in history and this is something that we should cherish and keep in mind as we step forward shaping the future for generations to come.”
