Two injured in Burwarton collision

The two car collision occured on the B4364 in Burwarton shortly after 8am this morning.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said:

“The driver of the first car, a woman believed to be in her 20’s, was trapped in her vehicle for a period of time. The woman was immobilised and extricated from the vehicle by fire service personnel using hydraulic cutting equipment.

“The casualty was treated at the scene for leg and arm injuries before being airlifted to the major trauma centre at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham for further assessment and treatment.

“The driver of the second car, a woman of similar age, was treated at the scene for minor injuries before being conveyed to the Princess Royal Hospital.”
