The 30-year-old man was taken to the University Hospital of North Staffordshire. His condition is described as critical but stable.

A 48 year-old man also suffered facial injuries during the incident at an address in Princes End, he was taken to the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital.

Arrests Made
Two men were arrested in connection with the incident and are currently being questioned by detectives at Malinsgate police station.

A 34 year-old was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and a 19 year-old was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.

A Telford Police spokeswoman said: “An incident took place at a property in Princes End. It took place inside the property and also outside.

“The area has been cordoned off while police examine the scene.

“We would appeal to anyone with information in relation to the incident to come forward.”
