‘Queen II’ promise a Queen tribute show to rock Shrewsbury as they perform a huge repertoire of well-known hits from every decade of Queen’s musical legacy in a live open-air show.

Visitors are welcome to bring along their own picnics and drinks but a bar and food will be available on-site throughout the evening.

The band features some of the UK’s finest professional musicians using authentic instruments including the famous ‘Red Special’ Brian May guitar and the ‘Silver Sparkle’ Roger Taylor drum kit. Queen II’s singer Johnny Vulcan provides a passionate and realistic portrayal of Freddie Mercury, complete with some of Freddie’s flamboyant trademark costumes.

Queen II have captivated audiences on tour around Britain and Europe with their energy, excitement and emotion, faithfully recreating the magic of Queen concerts during their prime, performing hits such as ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’, ‘Another One Bites The Dust’ and ‘It’s A Kind Of Magic’.

Organiser Russ Harman of Event Developments Ltd said: “Queen’s music is enjoyed by fans of all ages, and Queen II are on of the finest Queen tributes in Europe.

“We are bringing in a giant rock stage for this concert, plus some of the finest sound and light engineers in the UK, so this promises to be a great evening.”

Tickets are £10 in advance or £12 on the gate, and accompanied under 14’s go free. Car parking is free. Gates open from 7pm, show starts 8pm. Shrewsbury Showground is located on Berwick Road, close to Shrewsbury town centre.
