This is the second year that Neil will be on stage with fun and games to get the fundraisers ready for the 10k midnight walk. He explains “I had such a laugh last year with all the amazing ladies who have done a brilliant job raising much needed funds for the hospice, when the team from Severn Hospice asked if I could host the walks again, I could not turn the offer down”

The first of two midnight walks takes place this Saturday 26th May and departs from the Telford College of Arts and Technology, Wellington, with hundreds of ladies already signed up to take part.

Demand for this years walks has been so great that the appeals team will be accepting registrations on the night. Sarah Hawthorne, fundraising events organiser for Severn Hospice, said: “We have been amazed at the level of interest in our Telford Midnight Walk. We hope by opening registration on the night, ladies who missed out on securing their place will be able to join us for what is set to be a fantastic night”

“Seeing hundreds of women gathered together to support their local hospice is both inspiring and moving. It really is a special night which should not be missed.”

Ladies who would like to take part in this year’s Midnight Walk in Telford will be able to register on the night between 10.30pm and 11.30pm. Registration costs £20 and each walker will receive a lilac t-shirt to wear on the night. All walkers must be over the age of 14 and anyone under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult on the night.

The second walk will take place on Saturday 30 June 2012, starting and finishing at Shrewsbury Sports Village , Sundorne Road, Shrewsbury. Once again, Neil will be on stage with the warm up exercise team but will also be joined by some very special people with amazing stories about the Severn Hospice.
