Five incredible prizes are on offer: an original water colour by well-known local artist Joan Baker; a beautiful Coffee table in sweet chestnut from the Powis Estate by furniture maker Jeremy Bryce-Smith; a unique knitted Town Hall created by Nigel Holgate; a superb Patchwork quilt made by Clare Greig; and a metal heron by local sculpture Roj Williams.

Sam Hine, Town Hall Project Manager said, “We are really grateful for the generosity of our local artisans who have donated such exceptional prizes. The chance to win such unique, high quality pieces has to be worth a flutter.

In the run up to Christmas we hope people might think about giving a gift with a difference, the possibility of winning one of these amazing prizes, whilst at the same time contributing towards the renovation project at the Town Hall”.

Tickets are £2 each and are available at a number of outlets around Bishop’s Castle including the Town Hall, Eighteen Market Square, Old Time, Enterprise House and Decorative Antiques. The draw will take place at the Arts Festival in February.

Target 250 was launched last year to help raise funds for Bishop’s Castle Town Hall. The Town Hall will soon be 250 years old and to help it survive another 250 years a renovation programme is being developed and a bid to the Heritage Lottery Fund will be submitted in the spring.
