The day was awash with success, including Nicola Ball’s outstanding victories in the Girls Under 19 50m Backstroke by an amazing 11 seconds and the Individual Medley by 19 seconds!
The Girls also found victory in the Under 13’s team event, with Naomi Chapman winning the 50m Backstroke and 50m Freestyle, Fizz Scarrett winning the 25m Butterfly and Individual Medley and Megan Tucker finishing 2nd in the 50m Breaststoke. The Girl’s Under 15 team came a close second with Hannah Greig winning both the 50m Backstroke and 50m Freestyle and top three placing’s from Emily Ball and Rhianne Lloyd.

The Under 13 Boys team (Myles Bailey, Thomas Evans, Max Lowry & George Garratt) dominated the individual events with top 3 finishes in all events, most notably Max Lowry taking the breaststroke event by storm and finishing in 1st place. The Under 15 team (Ben Balcombe, Toby Roberts, Adam Stevens & Kieran Burgoyne) finished in 2nd place overall, with both Toby Roberts and Ben Balcombe taking 1st in breaststroke and backstroke respectively.
The Under 19 competition was closely contested and highly competitive, with the Marches team comprising of Tim Bridgewood, Jimmy Kershaw, Kieran Evans and Kieran Lee-Birch finishing in 2nd place overall.
The boys teams put in a great performance achieving 2nd place in the U15’s and U19’s Team Competition and a respectable 4th in the U13’s. P.E. Teacher Gareth Jones commented “All teams represented the School with pride and passion; they were both gracious in victory and defeat and deserved their success.â€
