Graham Turner brought his first team squad to the Station to complete a training session followed by some motivational leadership exercises to prepare them for their away FA Cup first round fixture against Newport County FC. The Sation were more than happy to assist their local team with a range of activities. Personnel from the Station Physical Education Flight developed a number of exercises aimed at increasing teamwork and leadership.

The squad trained on the unit’s new Third Generation Astro-Turf pitch before Sergeant ‘Stick’ Ballard put them into Military order fro a jog to the Sports Hangar. Once there the squad were split into groups and completed a number of Motivational Leadership exercises under ‘Stick’ and Corporal Tom Healing. The squad also enjoyed lunch in the Junior Ranks Mess.

Squadron Leader Neil Hope said,’ the full session has provided exceptional experience for our physical instructors and they have all really enjoyed working with the squad. The whole Station wishes Graham and his squad the very best for the forthcoming FA Cup fixture.’
