The Hippodrome, in Market Drayton, is currently closed until 8 am on Saturday, 24 January. The pub, which sustained fire damage during the Christmas period, is closed for remedial works and refurbishment.

The Wetherspoon pub in Queen Street, which first opened in December 2007, is managed by Vicky Dixon.
The company is spending £100,000 to completely redecorate the pub interior, including painting throughout, installing new wood flooring and adding a brand-new bespoke carpet. Repairs to the log fire will also be undertaken.
The eye-catching new carpet design features gingerbread men and a competition, to guess how many gingerbread men can be seen on the carpet, will be one of the charity activities taking place on the pub reopening day.
A Burns’ Night quiz night is also taking place on Sunday 25 January at 7pm.
All proceeds from these charity fundraising events will be split between Market Drayton Carnival Committee and children’s charity Young Lives vs Cancer.
Pub manager Vicky Dixon said: “The Hippodrome is an extremely popular community pub and we thank our customers for their patience during the past few weeks.
“We aim to offer customers the best pub possible – these repairs and refurbishment work, following the fire, will return The Hippodrome to its best.”
