The largest walking group in Shropshire is planning to tackle all 23 of the Telford Coronation Circular Walks in reverse during 2026.

Based in Ketley, the group was originally set up in 2024 and is now entering its third year, with around 2,000 members and an average of 50 people taking part in each walk.

The routes are all waymarked in both clockwise and anticlockwise directions, offering walkers a fresh perspective when completed in reverse.

The Coronation Walks take place fortnightly on Sunday mornings and attract people of all ages, giving participants the chance to explore different locations across the borough, with a particular focus on local history and nature.

A spokesperson for the group said: “We are amblers, not ramblers, so we go at a steady pace, with an average walk of around three miles and plenty of stops to pause and enjoy the scenery. Dogs are welcome too.”
