Shropshire Warriors are celebrating a proud moment as four rising stars from the club have earned selection for Basketball England’s prestigious Aspire 25/26 programme and continue to attend camps as part of their development journey.

Representing the club across multiple age groups are: Jasmine – U15 Girls, Kaitlyn – U15 Girls, Huwie – U13 Boys and Brandon – U15 Boys.
Their selection places them among the most promising young athletes in the country, with only twelve players per age group chosen from a national pool of around 20,000 boys and girls involved in school and club basketball.
A Pathway Built for Future Stars
The Aspire Programme forms the foundation of Basketball England’s talent pathway for players aged 12–15. Its core purpose is to deliver high-quality coaching that reflects the organisation’s Player Development Framework, supporting young athletes with the technical and tactical skills needed for long-term success.
Delivered through the new super region model, the programme runs in three structured stages:
Stage 1 – Aspire Skills Camps All selected players take part in regional camp activity across ten Basketball England regions, focusing on core skill development.
Stage 2 – Super-Region Camps Standout performers advance to one of four larger camps — North, South, Central, or London — where competition intensifies and coaching becomes more specialised.
Stage 3 – Aspire All-Star National Tournament Each summer, the programme concludes with a national tournament featuring U13 and U15 boys’ and girls’ teams representing their super region.
A Proud Moment for the Club
Shropshire Warriors officials praised the commitment and work ethic of the selected players, highlighting how their achievement reflects both individual dedication and the strength of the club’s youth development pathway.
As the quartet continue their Aspire journey, the club along with teammates, coaches, and supporters will be cheering them on every step of the way.
