A third person has been arrested after a man was stabbed at the Donington Bonfire event in Telford on Saturday evening.

A 19-year-old man was arrested yesterday, 12 November, on suspicion of attempted murder.

Around 8.30 pm on Saturday, 8 November, police received a report of an assault at Broadoaks Playing Field on Wellington Road in Donnington.

When officers arrived, it was established that a 20-year-old man had been stabbed.

He was taken to the Royal Stoke University Hospital and has since been discharged.

An 18-year-old man and 17-year-old boy who were previously arrested on suspicion of attempted murder have been released on bail.
