Two cars damaged by fire in Shrewsbury

Firefighters were called to Briery Lane in Bicton Heath early Saturday morning to extinguish a fire that had engulfed two cars.

The fire was reported to Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service at 12.20am on January 11th.

One fire engine from Shrewsbury was dispatched to the scene, along with a Fire Investigation Officer.

Upon arrival, crews found two vehicles ablaze.

One car was completely engulfed in flames, while the other sustained 40% fire damage.

Firefighters used breathing apparatus, hose reel jets, and hydraulic cutting equipment to bring the fire under control. The incident was later handed over to the police.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
