Witness appeal after woman seriously injured following incident in Madeley

Police in Telford are appealing for witnesses after a woman was left with serious injuries following an incident in Madeley.

A woman, aged in her 40s, was struck by a vehicle in the car park of the Barley Mow in Madeley on Friday 3 May at around 10pm.

The woman suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital, where she remains in a critical but stable condition.

A man, aged 28, was arrested at the scene on suspicion of dangerous driving, aggravated vehicle taking, and driving when under the influence of drugs.

He has since been released on police bail as enquiries continue.

A West Mercia Police spokesperson said: “We’d like to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time and may have witnessed the incident or has dash-cam footage of the collision.
