Telford motorcyclist injured in collision near Shifnal

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “When crews arrived, they found a motorcycle had been in collision with a car. The motorcyclist had come off his bike and gone through a wooden fence into a hedge. His bike was some distance from the crash scene.

“The 34 year old Telford man had suffered serious lower leg injuries. He had fractures to both legs and a possible fractured pelvis.

“He was immobilised using a neck collar and spinal board before being airlifted to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham where medics were on standby for his arrival.”

An ambulance, two rapid response vehicles and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Strensham were sent to the scene.

No-one in the car was hurt in the collision which occured at about 4pm this afternoon.
